Cold and Baseball Do Not Go Together

Jeff and I went to Shawnee, Oklahoma yesterday to watch Bradley play baseball at OBU. Of course, we waited to head out until Kyle and Julie left to go back to Colorado. We had such a great time with them here for the weekend. Mylie (their boxer) is really growing and loves us! She's so fun to play with.

We went to the annual Pal Myra pancake feed and saw the clan. This was Kyle's first Valentine pancake event. We made sure he saw the sign: "Buy some swine for your Valentine." He didn't quite feel compelled to make that his gift to Julie for Valentine's Day. Actually, earlier in the day, Julie and I were shopping and were looking at Valentine cards. We didn't really like any and were going to use my scrapbook supplies to make our guys a card. Trouble is, we never got around to it. After the pancake feed, we all went over to Ashle and Lees's to watch the KU game. We stayed until about half time. KU won- YEA! (My nephew, Tyler, is in pharmacy school there.) Sunday night, Jeff and Kyle joined Tim for a WSU basketball game while Julie and I went to a movie.

Brad played first base on Monday. He went 1 for 3 at bat. That was the first time he had swung a bat at a live pitch since last fall. It was cold too! I was in full cold weather gear and wrapped in a sleeping bag!. I think with the wind chill factor it was in the mid 20's. That just doesn't seem right for baseball. It should be hot and sunny, short sleeves and a tan. After the game, Jeff and I treated Brad and his roommate, Zack, to dinner at Chilis. Then we went back to our hotel room and Brad attempted to study for a while before going back to the dorm.

Oh yea, Sunday afternoon, our friends, Mark and Stacy and their kids (Julie's best friend), Erin and Luke, came for dinner. We had a great time visiting.
Friends and Family-You can't get any better than that!
